We’re all human here.

As humans, we collectively participate in the fashion industry, whether we realise it or not. At UNIFRM, our job is to make fashion more ethical (and enjoyable) for all parties involved. Our core brand values inform the end-to-end processes of our brand. These include:

  • Empowering individuals through custom-made, feminine suit offerings in a male-dominated industry.

  • Ensuring a fair and ethical labour environment for tailors, suppliers, and all persons involved in production of a UNIFRM suit.

  • Adapting to current net-zero innovations in the luxury fashion market, minimising climate impact at maximum capability.

  • Furthering a carbon neutral approach to luxury fashion production, beginning with the procurement of deadstock materials off the floors of Savile Row.

As the second most polluting industry in the world, fashion holds great power to influence climate reform. Based on data from the August 2023 Climate Clock (pictured above), humanity has less than six years left in the carbon budget. This means we must work together to limit greenhouse gas emissions and generate a renewable future.

You may notice we don’t often use the world ‘sustainability’ often in our messaging. This is an intentional part of our brand communications. In an age where greenwashing runs rampant amongst fashion brands, we are intentional about modernising conversations involving ethical fashion.

By definition, fashion is not sustainable, so efforts must be made to equalise carbon footprints. Therefore, we prefer the term 'net-zero' to represent efforts toward physical waste-lessness in UNIFRM’s practice. While not perfect, it is a leap forward.

The path to creating a net-zero fashion brand is complex. Fashion inherently heavily depends on non-renewable resources. However, offsetting the impact of fashion production through regenerative business and agriculture is a stellar starting point.

At UNIFRM, we want you to be an equal stakeholder in the shirt (or suit) off your back. Let’s change the system together, and look fantastic doing it.

Love,

Chloé and Lucia

road to

net-zero

To uphold the principles of a net-zero luxury brand, we follow strict guidelines in our end-to-end functions.

These include

  • Sourcing only dead-stock fabrics and non-virgin materials.

  • Creating limited quantities of product, or by demand, to eliminate extra stock.

  • Working with local tailors to design and hand-produce our garments, reducing the need for transportation.

  • Ensuring biodegradability in all physical resources including packaging, product tags, and out of home marketing collateral through the use of innovative materials.

  • Working with partner organisations to offset any impact made, following a ‘one-for-one’ model.

customer forward

We work face-to-face with our suppliers, designers, and tailors throughout the production process. This ensures all parties involved are ethically treated and properly compensated for their part in bringing UNIFRM to life. All material and operations take place in London, allowing UNIFRM to uphold rigorous standards for fair labour.

UNIFRM is for the people. We encourage our audience to hold us accountable in all areas through open discourse. Together we will revolutionise the fashion system.

At UNIFRM, we pride ourselves in creating an inclusive and exciting purchasing experience for our audience. This means staying attentive to the demands of the modern luxury consumer and consistently adapting our practice. Though we focus on the female demographic, we aim to empower all genders and persons invested in fashion’s role in advancing a thriving future for all.

OUR suits

  • Our dead-stock fabrics are sourced directly from Savile Row menswear tailors. UNIFRM provides the finest quality materials from London's suit capital, at massively reduced climate impact.

  • Timeless design practice is essential to our foundation. Our suits are created to be worn for decades, withstanding  trends. Inspired by the founders’ beloved handed-down pieces from their grandmothers, UNIFRM never goes out of style.

  • Through understanding our social and environmental standing in the world around us, we can implement regenerative practices wherever applicable. A macro focus of UNIFRM is keeping a circular model of business in all areas, while supporting positive initiatives in the world around us.

supply chain accountability

Accountability is critical for any business, especially in an industry as excessive as fashion. At UNIFRM, we uphold the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and ethical practices throughout all operations.

This includes:

Transparency and Traceability

We conduct regular audits with our key partners to ensure the quality and ethical standards are being met across the board.

ENvironmental stewardship

Now you get it, we care deeply about the planet.  Each step of our supply-chain considers Earth first, giving back wherever possible.

Quality Assurance

Upholding rigorous quality standards is a fundamental aspect of UNIFRM. From the early design process to the final garment, UNIFRM assures quality, providing you a one-of-a-kind suit you’ll cherish for years.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

Creating a net-zero fashion brand requires ongoing evaluation, improvement, collaboration, and communication with stakeholders. We want to lead the charge in ethical luxury fashion, a feat only accomplished in community.

what's

next

what's next

UNIFRM is a young company with a grand vision to be the coolest (and most ethical) brand on the block.

This includes implementing take-back programs, an in-brand rental platform, and adjusting materials based on what’s in excess. This is only the beginning.

Our mission is to ignite a new generation of well-dressed and climate responsible consumers,

one suit at a time.
